Fata Morgana
Fata Morgana
What does this theme mean? Fata Morgana is a mirage, an Italian word and the Arthurian sorceress Morgan Le Fey’s creation. For this edition, we’re embracing the allure of illusion and taking chances on castles in the sky.
We’re interpreting Fata Morgana as something that makes your soul feel like it’s going 200 kph while your body stays still. The embodiment of the feeling of yearning and dreaming after seeing a movie that really hits in the theater, walking away with a piece of your soul still sitting in chocolate shelled velvet seats.
It’s the moment before making a decision that will change the trajectory of your life, or the memory of being seven years old and working up the courage to try sour candy for the first time. Or it’s serendipitous moments that you just can’t explain.
What are we looking for? Send us your flash fiction, eternity glimmers, poetry, inexplicable sensations, soul whispers, prose, acts of free will, theoretical essays, serendipitous happenings, plays, incomprehensible mystery, paintings, consciousness glimpses, esoteric musings, analysis of art that makes your heartbeat a little faster, personal mythologies, perpetual yearnings, memory expressions, photography, immortality tips, lore, out of body experiences, daily magics, whimsy awakenings, ancestral healing, fashion, messages from friendly spirits, film photography, butterfly effects, personal philosophies, string theories, wonders, the indomitable human spirit.
We accept submissions expressed in most mediums with the exception of video and audio creations. More mundane requirements are outlined in depth on our submissions page.
Who can submit? Anyone and everyone. Aspiring creatives or those who have already been in the spotlight. See our submissions page for more details.
